Warne Robins, GA — September 12, 2024 — Aging Aircraft Solutions, a leader in advanced aviation sustainment technologies, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract by the United States Air Force. The contract focuses on “corrosion costs and operational availability corrosion impact analytics,” utilizing the company’s innovative MxGo AI Data Analysis technology. This award builds on the successful Phase II SBIR collaboration with the Air Force’s Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO).

The MxGo AI Data Analysis technology, developed during the Phase II contract, is designed to address critical data inaccuracies in aircraft maintenance records, specifically focusing on work unit code, action taken code, and How Mal code errors. By leveraging advanced AI and machine learning, MxGo improves the accuracy of maintenance data, enabling the Air Force to better understand the operational and financial impact of corrosion on its fleet.

“We are thrilled to be awarded this SBIR Phase III contract, which allows us to continue our collaboration with the United States Air Force and expand the application of our MxGo AI technology,” said James Hill, CEO of Aging Aircraft Solutions. “Corrosion is a major challenge for military aircraft, impacting both readiness and cost. Our technology is designed to streamline maintenance data, providing critical insights that will enhance the sustainment process and reduce costs.”

The MxGo AI Data Analysis platform is expected to play a crucial role in improving operational availability by identifying and correcting errors in aircraft maintenance data records, leading to more effective decision-making and enhanced aircraft sustainment efforts. As a result, the Air Force will be able to mitigate the operational impact of corrosion, extending the life of its aircraft and improving mission readiness.

This SBIR Phase III contract reflects Aging Aircraft Solutions’ ongoing commitment to developing cutting-edge technologies that support the United States Government’s efforts to maintain and sustain its aging aircraft fleet. The company’s expertise in leveraging AI to solve complex sustainment challenges has made it a trusted partner to defense organizations.
