Aging Aircraft Consulting CEO James Hill will be speaking at the 2017 In-Space Inspection Workshop hosted by NASA and ASNT on Wednesday February 1st, 2017. Mr. Hill will be speaking about finding product-market fit for aerospace inspection technology to solve critical customer needs.
The workshop promotes users and stakeholders to present their concerns and needs as well as capability and technology leaders to share and demonstrate their latest products. The workshop will explore some of spaceflight’s most difficult challenges including event and damage detection, and damage characterization. Industry leaders will present the latest advanced sensors, platforms and nondestructive evaluation methods.
To commercialize a new technology it is necessary to identify a customer’s need, with high enough priority, and available funding or financing. However, often it is difficult to identify who the customer is and what their needs are. Customer discovery activities can help survey the market of potential users and understand their needs. Once product-market fit has been discovered and defined, sales and marketing can be effectively applied to target the right market. Aging Aircraft Consulting has been applying customer discovery methodology within the military aviation maintenance environment to find the product-application fit for emerging technologies while solving critical customer needs, increasing performance and lowering costs.
